John Madden Sales has cultivated numerous top horses including Authentic, Judgement ISF, Play On, Northern Magic, Cloud Nine, Mademoiselle, Danny Boy, Desilvio, Coral Reef Via Volo and Conquest II to name a few.
Former and current students include: Darlene Sandlin, Schuyler Riley, Un Jin Moon, Hyun Jin Moon, Katherine Birdsall Heller, Sara Segal, Charlie Jacobs, Isabella Salles and Cara Raether.
Beezie's Bio
Beezie Madden was the individual Bronze medalist in the 2008 Olympic Games and also a member of the Gold medal U.S. team. In 2006 she won both team and individual silver medals at the World Equestrian Games aboard the nearly flawless Authentic. She was also a member of the Gold Medal team at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and part of the 2003 gold medal Pan American Games team.
To date, she has competed in four World Cup Finals and has 14 wins in Nations Cup competition and 8 World Cup Qualifier wins. In 2005 year she won the $200,000 Budweiser American Invitational in Tampa aboard Authentic and repeated the feat in 2007. Other notable finishes include the Million Dollar CN International at Spruce Meadows in Canada aboard Judgement in 2005, a feat that she nearly duplicated in 2006 finishing third on DeSilvio. She is also a two-time winner of the prestigious Spruce Meadows Atco Power Queen Elizabeth II Cup, both years riding Authentic. Madden was a contributor to the 2005 first place finish in the Samsung Super League and as well as to the 2006 second place US finish. In July of 2007, Madden added winning the Grand Prix of Aachen to her list of notable achievements. Starting off 2008 with a bang, Beezie and Authentic successfully won both Grand Prix events at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. The first win in the $30,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round VIII was only a warm-up victory for the $200,000 CN WorldWide Grand Prix.
2010 offered the introduction of several new superstars to the John Madden Sales barn including Mademoiselle and Coral Reef Via Volo. Via Volo and Madden won an impressive 7 grand prix classes in 2010.
Madden is also the only three time winner of the prestigious Sporthorse Cup of Syracuse.
Originally from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area and born November, 20, 1963, Madden received her first pony as a Christmas gift at age four. She began competing at the Grand Prix level in 1985. Horses have been a family affair for Beezie; her parents, Joe and Kathy Patton, owned a horse farm in Wisconsin, and Beezie and her husband John operate a farm in Cazenovia, New York.
