Cortes joined John Madden Sales early in 2011 and Beezie has taken her time to build a relationship with the big gelding. The slow and steady approach proved most successful with Beezie and Cortes C recently won the prestigious Grand Prix at Valkenswaard in early August of 2011.

Most recently Cortes C was listed on the short list for the 2012 Olympic Team as an alternate. He also recently won the 1.60m Akita Drilling Cup at Spruce Meadows!
