John Madden Sales typically has between 15 and 25 horses in full training at any time. Our horses compete around the world and come home between competitions to our home base in Cazenovia, NY. Young horses or horses on break throughout the year enjoy their down time in the fields of Central New York, where we find the changing seasons, ample turnout and deep snow keeps our horses fit and fresh.

When their competition days are over, many of our horses find themselves retired to our back fields to enjoy time just being horses. Some of the former superstars currently on retirement at John Madden Sales include Cloud Nine and Conquest II.
